Vintage audio service

Repair and restoration for vintage audio

We start by understanding what the equipment is doing before deciding what it needs. Each receiver, amplifier, turntable, and tube component gets a diagnostic first, so you know its condition before any bench work begins.

What we work on

Repair and restoration across three kinds of gear

Tube gear

Tube amplifiers and preamps

Tube amplifiers and preamps need careful attention to valves, bias, power supplies, and wiring. We check each stage and report what is worn before replacing anything.

Solid state

Receivers and solid-state units

Vintage receivers combine power, switching, and signal paths that age unevenly. We test each function, clean contacts, and restore controls so the unit works as intended.

Mechanical

Turntables and delicate mechanical parts

Turntables, tone arms, and switches depend on precise mechanical alignment. We recap, align, and lubricate these parts to restore smooth, stable operation.

How a repair works

From drop-off to tested return

01

Drop-off and intake

Bring or ship your equipment. We log it in Repair Buddy with the symptoms you report and the condition we observe on arrival.

02

Diagnostic assessment

We test the unit and document what we find. You receive an honest condition report before any bench work begins.

03

Recap, alignment, and restoration

With your approval, we perform the work the assessment calls for, from recapping and alignment to full restoration. Each change is recorded on your ticket.

04

Testing and return

The restored unit is tested under load and checked against the original report before it is returned, with its final status updated in Repair Buddy.
